One of B’s favorite childhood pastimes flying model airplanes with his dad and brothers. We took his ”mini plane” (as I call it) for a short flight yesterday morning.
B tried to climb this tree after getting the plane stuck in a branch. It was a team effort to get it down – I ended up on his shoulders knocking it off the branch with a long umbrella.
A little confession (pun intended) - I love all things that are mini. Miniature farm animals, miniature food, miniature household items… you get the picture. I have a hard time passing up anything that is mini at the store. I found this cute little cheese shredder at World Market the other day and couldn’t say no. I don’t think I will use it for cheese but maybe it would work for recipes that call for orange or lemmon zest.
Every year B and I look forward to the North Texas Irish Festival. Where else can you see someone play celtic fiddle music, drink a Guiness while shopping for a utilikilts, buy homemade lavendar soap and fresh scones, and pet a mini-horse?
